Greater Reading Young Professionals (GRYP)
GRYP is an active force in the Greater Reading area! Comprised mainly of young professionals between the ages of 21 and 45, this group is devoted to developing the networking, educational, and leadership skills of the younger workforce. GRYP members participate on local boards and commissions, and are proactive in helping raise awareness about the positive qualities of living and working in Greater Reading.
Each year, GRYP hold its annual fundraising gala called "GiGi." In 2009, the event raised over $19,000 for the Penn Corridor initiative - Greater Reading's emerging arts and entertainment district.
"In addition to offering job opportunities that allow us to live a very comfortable lifestyle, we find there are many great things that Greater Reading offers to people our age. At twenty-five years old, we have jobs that our fulfilling, we own our own home, and we do the activities that we enjoy. We love it here and plan to live in Greater Reading for many years to come!"
